Unhappy with your tax returns this year? It’s not too late! During this workshop, get insider knowledge from a Certified Public Account on ways to save money on your taxes. If you already filed your 2018 taxes, you can still amend based on lessons learned during this workshop. Or, apply what you learn to proactively save money on your 2019 taxes.

We will address main categories on Schedule C including:

  • How to recognize revenue
  • Cost of Goods Sold
  • Depreciation
  • Expenses such as parking, advertising, mileage, contract labor
  • Pensions
  • Health Insurance
  • Interest
  • Legal and Professional Services
  • Rent
  • Meals
  • Home Office

We’ll also discuss certain business credits available to small business owners, including the Qualified Business Income (QBI) deduction.

This workshop is directed to small business owners who don’t have an entity separate of themselves (single member LLCs, sole proprietors, husband/wife partnership that don’t want to file a partnership return).

About Our Speaker: Samreen Sadiq is a CPA with Taskey, Neff, & Associates. In her capacity as accounting manager, she specializes in assurance compliance for businesses and oversees the preparation of compiled, reviewed and audited financial statements and the successful execution of such assurance engagements. In addition, she works on tax return preparation and tax planning for both individual and business entities. A large part of her responsibility involves the monitoring of client’s accounting systems, IRS and state audits and representation matters, as well as the resolution of state and federal tax notices. Her area of expertise is small to midsize businesses and she enjoys working closely with clients to help them define and attain their business goals in the most expedient and efficient manner possible. A vast experience in small business tax compliance, together with a strong background in accounting are two of the main reasons Ms. Sadiq excels in the public accounting field but what truly differentiates her is her desire in establishing long term relationships with both clients and coworkers.
