Meet the MWBC Team: Angie Duncanson

  • What attracted you to work at MWBC and what is your role here?
    • The fact that the organization is about economic development is what attracted me here. Prior to joining MWBC, I worked in economic development and absolutely fell in love with the field. I am the organization’s Senior Business Counselor and Trainer.
  • What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned about entrepreneurship at MWBC?
    • That it is a lifelong process once you are involved in it.
  • What has been your proudest moment/achievement working at MWBC?
    • Being selected by SBA as one of six top national instructors for the SBA Boots2Business program and becoming the Senior Business Counselor and Trainer, what an honor for both.
  • What is your favorite activity to do locally?
    • Attending my local church and serving my church community, as well as hanging out with people at my local eateries in my community.
  • What is your favorite song at the moment?
  • What is one thing on your bucket list?
    • To relocate to Europe. I lived in Sicily for almost 6 years, then in Holland for a little while. I would really like to go back to Italy and settle there. I speak the language and that certainly helps. I wouldn’t mind Germany either.  German comes easy for me too because English is Germanic based. I love languages and the written word more than anything.
