It’s a wonderful way to get customer feedback on the spot while ringing up sales within a specific time frame. Luckily\, Frederick County offers many of these markets throughout the week in multiple communities giving vendors plenty of opportunities to participate. \nDuring this webinar for business owners in the creative industry\, we’ll first hear from representatives from the Frederick County Department of Agriculture who will explain where the farmers’ markets are\, how to get in\, compliance requirements\, and resources. \nSetting up a table at a Farmer’s Market is only half the story. The next step is to sell and market while you are there! The second part of the webinar features Dani Gurrie of Promo Circus\, who is an expert in event marketing. She will share ideas on how to get the most out of every vending opportunity. \nAbout the Speakers\nKatie Stevens \nKatie Stevens is the Director of Frederick County Office of Agriculture\, whose mission is to ensure a vibrant and diverse agricultural community. Becca Tucker is a Senior Business Development Manager with the Department. \nBecca Tucker \nBecca Tucker is a Frederick County native who grew up as the fifth-generation on her family’s dairy farm in Jefferson. Upon earning her bachelor’s degree in Dairy Science from Virginia Tech in 2009\, she moved home and managed her family’s dairy herd for a decade. \nIn December 2021\, Becca began her career with Frederick County.  She is the Senior Business Development Manager for the Frederick County Office of Agriculture where she helps to foster the economic viability of the local agricultural industry by providing direct support to farms and agricultural businesses across the county. Becca assists business owners as they start\, diversify and/or expand operations while serving as a liaison between businesses and government partners. Connecting businesses with resources\, helping them navigate regulatory processes\, providing marketing support through the Homegrown Frederick brand and facilitating the award-winning Agricultural Innovation Grant program are Becca’s primary roles. She also works closely providing support to many of the farmers’ market managers in Frederick County and connecting farmers to marketing outlets like farmers’ markets. \nDani Gurrie \nDani Gurrie\, the founder of Promo Circus\, is your guide through the complex world of marketing and promotions. She is the host of Good Morning Frederick\, streaming on You Tube and Facebook live at 9am weekdays. Dani has a diverse background most recently in radio as a Promotions Director\, On-Air Talent\, and Salesperson. She’s spent over six years mastering the art of engaging audiences\, producing successful events\, and driving sales growth.

Stretching your creative muscles can help you with your business because it teaches you to think differently to solve problems or grow your business. \nTina will be walking us through a Water Marbling project and you’ll get to take home your masterpiece. After a short lesson on the history of marbling in art\, we’ll practice creating marbled paper and then we’ll each marble an ornament using acrylic paint. There is a small materials fee for this event. All art supplies will be provided including a box to shepherd your project home safely. Attendees will also receive a discount coupon to visit Tina’s new and enlarged splatter paint studio in Frederick\, MD. Since becoming a branch manager\, he has been actively growing and fostering relationships with business and retail customers. He enjoys networking\, meeting\, and socializing with business owners as well as other working professionals. He believes true success is found in the relationships that you build. The efforts he has put into his work and servicing customers has led him to earn the status of Business Banking Relationship Manager vice president with M&T. \nOutside work he loves watching sports and spending time with his family.
