Roneka Samalenge is an Associate Business Consultant with a passion for helping local businesses and communities thrive. Raised in Norfolk, Virginia, Roneka developed a deep appreciation for small and local businesses from a young age, as she was surrounded by entrepreneurs.
Roneka’s extensive public service experience in community nonprofit work led her to pursue a Master’s in Public Administration at James Madison University. During her graduate studies, Roneka further developed her administrative skills and gained practical experience in improving economic development for the City of Harrisonburg, James Madison University, and various nonprofits. She played a critical role in establishing grants to support minority-owned businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic with the Chamber of Commerce. As a business-owner herself, Roneka brings a unique perspective and a genuine passion to her work in helping startups and established businesses not just survive but thrive.
In her free time, Roneka enjoys spending time with her husband, visiting family, engaging in local cultures through travel, exploring the great outdoors and playing tennis and volleyball.
