It is also the key to securing funding from banks and investors. Writing your business plan requires a holistic analysis of your business\, which we will detail in this course. Topics include:\n• Business mission\, vision and values\n• Market/competitive analysis\n• Marketing goals\n• Business operations and organizational structure\n• Financial analysis and sales projections\n• Small business accounting and compliance \n*Intended Audience: pre-venture\, start-up \nDevelop Your Business Plan is the third workshop in our “Plan and Start Your Business” series. It is recommended that you take workshops in the following order:\n1. Introduction to Entrepreneurship and MWBC\n2. Steps to Start Your Business\n3. Develop Your Business Plan\n4. Market Your Business on a Budget \nPre-registration is required. The more often you attend\, the more relationships you will build\, and the stronger your business will become! \nHere is the agenda: \nBusiness Metrics:  State Resources for Small Businesses \nPresenter : Tamar Osterman \nTamar Osterman has a broad background in public policy\, including a stint on Capitol Hill and many years as a government relations professional on the federal\, state\, and local levels\, focused on real estate and historic preservation. Since 2015\, Tamar has served as the Senior Business Development Representative for Frederick and Carroll counties with the MD Department of Commerce\, the state’s economic development agency. Based in Frederick\, Tamar works with businesses across industries\, of all sizes\, and in all stages of the business life cycle to connect them with state and ecosystem resources\, develop business opportunities\, and address challenges. Tamar holds an MPA from The University of Texas at Austin\, and her bachelor’s degree from Washington University in St. Louis. \n
