DESCRIPTION:[su_button url=”https://mdwbc.ecenterdirect.com/events/787556″ background=”#ef2d3b” size=”12″ center=”yes”]CLICK HERE TO REGISTER![/su_button] \n  \nThe City of Gaithersburg Office of Economic Development\, City of Rockville\, and the Maryland Women’s Business Center invite you to attend a training and networking event with Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich and other local legislators on September 19 from 5:30-7:30pm at the Kentlands Mansion in Gaithersburg. \nThe event starts with a roundtable discussion facilitated by local legislative experts who will provide guidance on how to craft your ask and share best practices on working with legislators to advocate for your business needs. \nAs a female business owner\, this is your opportunity to share your message about your business successes\, needs and concerns while advocating for increased funding and support of women-owned small businesses in the cities of Gaithersburg and Rockville\, Montgomery County \,and within the state of Maryland. \nAgenda:  \n\n5:30-6:10: Roundtable discussion\n6:10-6:30: Remarks from Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich and other local legislators\n6:30-7:30: Networking reception\n\nSpecial thanks to the City of Gaithersburg Office of Economic Development and the City of Rockville for sponsoring this event. \n*Pre-event registration is required for event entry. Join AARP Maryland and the Maryland Women’s Business Center for a panel discussion and networking lunch for women age 45+ who are interested in starting a business. Come learn from local experts about how to: \n\nStart a business in the state of Maryland.\nDetermine types of funding available and how to receive that funding.\nOptimize the gig economy to start and grow your business.\n\nThis event is intended for females age 45+ who are retired and interested in starting their own business or have just launched a new business. \nEarly bird rate of $20 if registered by 9/16. Rates increase to $35 after 9/16. \n  \nNote Our Policies: You must register to attend. No walk-ins or payments at the door. Refunds or comps are available for classes cancelled by MWBC.
