Smith\, principal of SMS Global Advisors\, has over 20 years’ experience representing real estate developers\, business owners\, and lenders to finance multi-family housing and mixed-use development projects financed with grants\, tax credits\, loans\, and equity. Stephanie has been counsel to lenders\, developers\, and businesses; a mortgage underwriter for a state bond agency and CMBS lending institution; and a legal and tax policy advisor to several federal government agencies’ lending divisions. \nStephanie is a frequent speaker and writer about tax credit financing and opportunity zone investing for a wide range audience to include commercial real estate agents\, developers and real estate trade organizations. Stephanie is currently working on a book about “Creative Financing Tools for Real Estate Development Projects\,” for publication next year. Stephanie received her B.A. in Analytical Philosophy from Howard University\, her J.D. from Rutgers Law School\, and LL.M. in Taxation with Honors Certificate in International Taxation from Georgetown University. \n  \nNote Our Policies: Refunds or comps are available for classes cancelled by MWBC.
