It may seem overwhelming\, but writing and self-publishing a book is within your power! However\, it’s important to set concrete goals from the start and to lay a solid foundation for yourself. Join us for this month’s Coffee and Connections event to learn the main differences between self-publishing\, vanity or hybrid publishers\, and traditional publishing. We’ll also cover: \n\nBuilding a Solid Foundation: Research and prepare yourself.\nWriting and Editing: Create the best possible version of your book\nSelf-Publishing: Get your book positioned to sell.\nMarketing/Advertising/Sales: Reach the people who need/want/will love your book.\n\nThe featured speaker is Lisa May Bennett\, the author of the memoir “My Unfurling: Emerging from the Grip of Anxiety\, Self-Doubt\, and Drinking.” She had a flourishing career in marketing and communications for more than two decades before finally embracing sobriety and chasing her dream of becoming an author. Her upcoming second book is about the self-publishing process\, and she hopes to encourage more people to tell and publish their own stories.
