During this workshop we will: \n\nExamine the characteristics of successful entrepreneurs.\nClarify some of the myths and realities of small business ownership.\nStart a self-assessment to determine your readiness to become a small business owner.\nSet a plan of action to complete your self-assessments by seeking feedback from stakeholders\, such as family\, friends\, and potential customers.\nDescribe the services provided by the Maryland Women’s Business Center and other local resources that can aid you in starting and growing your business.\n\nIf you are just starting your entrepreneurial journey\, we recommend that you take this workshop first. \nIntended Audience: Pre-venture \nIntroduction to Entrepreneurship and MWBC is the first workshop in our “Plan and Start Your Business” series. As a public relations professional\, Samantha understands the value of media placements\, as they help companies increase trust with their audience and attract new clients\, supporters\, and investors. She has secured placements on a variety of television\, radio\, digital and print outlets and has also served as a senior producer at a local radio station in Baltimore\, MD. Through these experiences\, Samantha has developed specific insight on how media professionals decide what they will cover\, and helps others to be prepared for their time in the spotlight. \nSamantha is an experienced public speaker\, with experience presenting to youth\, college students and professionals. She has presented at the Smithsonian National Affiliations Conference\, the National Black Public Relations Conference and the Association of African American Museums Conference. DESCRIPTION:CLICK HERE TO REGISTER!\n\nThere are unfortunately too many stories about families that did NOT plan ahead\, and who are thus unprepared to face the legal and financial issues associated with aging and chronic illness as relates to themselves; as well as their loved ones such as aging parents and partners with chronic conditions. Such conditions can be physical or cognitive e.g. Dementia\, Alzheimers Disease in nature. \nFailure to plan can lead to: exhausting one’s financial resources later in life; psychological and emotional stress; family disruption; and/or a situations in which needed levels and types of care are not attainable. \nSenior Aging Solutions was created to assist members of the public with information\, both legal and financial in nature\, to address these concerns and make such challenging situations easier to navigate. Subjects to be discussed include Medicare\, Medicaid\, Long Term Care\, and important legal documents that an individual and a family should have in place.  Speakers will be Cheryl Chapman Henderson\, Elderlaw Attorney and Mark A. Gottlieb\, an independent insurance professional with extensive experience in Long Term Care Planning
