Retail business owners in Montgomery County who were negatively impacted by COVID-19 and did not receive business rental assistance from Montgomery County in 2021 may be eligible for a grant program that will launch this fall.

Montgomery County will launch a second phase of the rental assistance program from its American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) fund. Qualifying businesses will receive a one-time grant covering three months’ rent up to a maximum of $10,000.

The program will be administered by the Latino Economic Development Corporation (LEDC) on behalf of Montgomery County with funds available to any minority-owned small businesses. Please note that the following categories are NOT eligible for the grant:

  • Restaurants/Food Service
  • Medical Practices
  • Professional Services
  • Religious Organizations
  • Daycare Facilities

The application portal for this grant program will open on September 1 and close on September 30, 2022.
