Recent graduates of the MWBC Shop Local incubator program, Dov Jewelry, have opened their first retail storefront in Cabin John, MD. The retail store, “Dov & Company” features a curated selection of women-owned businesses including 3 other Shop Local graduates: Ramuri, Raw Blossom, and Kashi Art & Design. Dov & Company offers trendy jewelry, accessories, home decor, and more, as well as a DIY bracelet bar and hands-on workshops.

Colombian-born sisters Maria and Sofia Tapias participated in the MWBC Shop Local Summer 2023 cohort and returned as mentors in the Winter 2024 cohort. As ‘Dov Jewelry’ they sold eco-friendly jewelry at the Rockville Town Center location. MWBC Shop Local is a retail incubator program of the Maryland Women’s Business Center (MWBC) that aims to lower barriers of opportunity to a diverse pool of entrepreneurs, creating a launch pad for startup and early-stage retail entrepreneurs.

With their storefront, Dov & Company, Dov Jewelry continues its commitment to sustainability by ethically sourcing product materials and planting a tree for every purchase made.
