This workshop is intended for entrepreneurs who are trying to assess a market for a new product.
The market assessment is a critical step in the creation of a business plan and understanding how to establish and scale your business. This workshop will start with the basics of what an entrepreneur is trying to achieve with their company and cover some general principles and terms that are part of the common entrepreneurial vocabulary, e.g., lean start-up, market segmentation, CAGR, etc. A process for conducting a thorough market will then be described including how to better understand your customers’ needs by testing your assumptions.
Since business plans also require revenue projections as part of a financial model, the workshop will include how to get started with estimating future revenues for your company. Finally, entrepreneurs in the audience will have an opportunity to describe their business and present their approach to assessing their market. The group will discuss these cases in an effort to help the entrepreneurs with their own market assessments.
