- Funding your business
- Legal considerations
- Registering your business in Maryland
- Obtaining your federal tax ID
- Forming a B.A.I.L. team
- Managing risk
- Marketing your business
Intended Audience: Pre-Venture
Steps to Start Your Business is the second workshop in our “Plan and Start Your Business” series. It is recommended that you take workshops in the following order:
- Introduction to Entrepreneurship and MWBC
- Steps to Start Your Business
- Develop Your Business Plan
- Market Your Business on a Budget
Heath Update: In light of recent health-related outbreaks, MWBC has temporarily revised our refund policy. If you are feeling ill, please refrain from attending an in-person workshop. Please contact our office in advance of the training to let us know if you cannot attend a workshop due to illness and we will refund the workshop fee (if applicable). For guidance on how to prevent the spread of illness, please visit the Centers for Disease Control.
Note Our Policies: MWBC only accepts credit card payments for training sessions. Attendees will not be permitted to enter the classroom until payment is received. Walks-in registrations are accepted only at the Montgomery County location. Register early to guarantee a seat. Women and men are invited to attend our training workshops.
